Four everyday suburban guys come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week. But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood–and the world–from total extermination.
OK. I liked this one (lol)…even though it has a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes I didn’t think it was THAT bad. (lol) I thought it was a fun movie…a little predictable…but fun. Ben Stiller…I liked him. Vince Vaughn as a dad with an angry daughter…HILARIOUS. Jonah Hill as this wanna be Rambo cop…HILARIOUS. Richard Ayoade…not sure what else he’s been in…but…he fits right along side the crew. I think THE WATCH is worth a watch…ha. Get it?! Ok – never mind. (lol)
I give THE WATCH… 3 out of 4 popcorns!
Quentin Tarantino presents The Man With the Iron Fists, an action-adventure inspired by kung-fu classics as interpreted by his longtime collaborators RZA and Eli Roth. Making his debut as a big-screen director, co-writer and leading man, RZA–alongside an exciting international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu–tells the epic story of warriors, assassins and a lone outsider hero who all descend on one fabled village in China for a winner-takes-all battle for a fortune in gold. Blending astonishing martial-arts sequences from some of the masters of this world with the signature vision he brings as the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan and as one of hip-hop’s most dominant figures of the past two decades, RZA embarks upon his most ambitious, stylized and thrilling project to date.
So I watched THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS the other night and I was little disappointed with this one. It just fell flat for me…and I soooooo wanted to REALLY like this one. It did have some high points though – some of the fight scenes were cool. Russell Crowe was cool to watch. Lucy Liu was killer…literally and Jamie Chung…sexy and deadly. I think if they wouldn’t have been in it…I wouldn’t have watched at all.
Some of the ‘blahhhhsss’ of the movie – – the fight scenes weren’t long enough for me. Couldn’t have used more blood. I remember watching Saturday morning Kung Fu movies and there was always a lot of blood…Blood’s cool. (lol) Another thing for me – RZA. I’m sorry RZA fans…he just didn’t do it for me. Just couldn’t see him in this movie. I couldn’t feel him in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION either. The Wu-Tang Clan is great…just keep RZA out of movies. (lol)
Anyone else see it? Let me know what YOU thought.
I give THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS… 2 out of 5 popcorns!
I checked out THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE last night on Netflix. Check out my review below.
Did you see it?

Every week, Jennyfly of JennyflyBlog.com and I watch a Netflix movie. WE DO IT FOR YA’LL!! We hope it comes in handy
I checked out another movie – – but this one was a little different. I let @Jennyfly of Jennyflyblog.com pick this one…see, we have a podcast show called, Pierce’s Playground on BlogTalkRadio.com…and…here’s our review.
I had a Netflix double feature the other day. I watched WWE’s THE DAY and TEXAS KILLING FIELDS. The first was a post-apocalyptic survival movie and the second – a serial killer running around Texas City killing girls! ENJOY the reviews.
