CHRIS BROWN REACTS TO CNN’S ANDERSON COOPER
Shortly after learning that CNN host Anderson Cooper publicly bashed Chris Brown’s involvement in the upcoming romantic comedy, Think Like A Man, the singer responded on Twitter. Cooper criticized the crooner for attacking then-girlfriend Rihanna and added that Chris wasn’t the right person for the film, which is based on how to treat women, Breezy wrote, “Guess people need ratings!!! Lol!!! It’s cool. Much love!”
KELLY ROWLAND LANDS ROLE IN SITCOM?
According to TheYBF.com, Kelly Rowland is going to star in her own sitcom on a major network. Details are sparse but the former Destiny’s Child member is expected to film a pilot for the yet-to-be titled show in January 2012. The news comes just a few days after Rowland was tapped to star in the upcoming romantic comedy, Think Like A Man.

ODD FUTURE BOOK COMING OUT
According to PictureBoxInc.com, Odd Future have reportedly landed a publishing deal to release their first book, Golf Wang. According to the description, fans can expect the literary effort to include Odd Future’s “own photography, design, and writing. This is a glimpse into a creative world that crosses skating, hip-hop, mischief and brilliance.” You can pick up your copy on November 15th.

According to Billboard.com, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s much talked about Watch The Throne LP is expected to sell between 400 to 500-thousand in its first week. The disc will more than likely claim number one on the Billboard 200 chart and will become the second largest debut of this year behind Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. The official numbers will be available next week.

According to the Universal Music Group, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne has become the number one digital album in the country. If that’s not enough, the rap duo’s first joint effort also claimed the top spot on iTunes in 19 other countries, including the U-K, Japan, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia. Fans will be able to purchase a physical copy of the set on Friday.
NICKI MINAJ TALKS ICE AGE ROLE
During an interview with MTV News, Nicki Minaj spoke about how she landed her first movie role in the forthcoming film, Ice Age: Continental Drift. The “Super Bass” rapper stated, “The original role that I was up for I didn’t get so I said, ‘Oh, OK, whatever.’ I was really mad, and the next thing you know, they called me and they said, ‘We wrote in a part just for you ’cause we really want you to be a part of this movie.’” The Queens native joins Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah and Drake in the 3D animated film, which is slated to hit theaters next year.

YOUNG DRO GIVES UPDATE ON T.I.
Wanna know how T.I. is holding up while he completes his prison sentence? AllHipHop.com caught up with Young Dro to find out if he’s spoken to Tip recently. The Grand Hustle artist stated, “When he gets home, things are going to be very different.” As for people assuming legal troubles will continue to follow T.I., Dro added, “We entitled to 2-3 falls, as long as you make good on it. Fall and get back up. Because he ain’t no evil person, we will prosper and come back even better.” The incarcerated rapper is currently locked up for probation violation and is supposed to be released sometime in September.

In the upcoming special, Vh1’s Planet Rock: The Story of Hip-Hop and the Crack Generation, viewers will get a first-hand account from dealers-turned-rappers. This documentary is the first to connect hip-hop and the crack epidemic with exclusive interviews from survivors that include Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill’s B-Real and The Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and Raekwon. Planet Rock: The Story of Hip-Hop and the Crack Generation premieres Sunday, September 18th at 10 PM Eastern on Vh1.

The video for Cee-Lo’s next single “Cry Baby” has just been released, and it features Jaleel White, a-k-a “Steve Urkel,” lip-syncing the words to the song, while Cee-Lo is nowhere to be found. It’s being called the “official” video online, but is it possible that the Goodie Mob singer didn’t know anything about it? Cee-Lo wrote on Twitter that he had “no idea” they were shooting a video for the tune, but that he heard “it’s cool though.” He has to be joking, right?

STARS AIM TO HELP EAST AFRICA FOOD CRISIS
Lady Gaga, Eminem, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Shakira, Kanye West and 150 other stars are combining their social media might to raise awareness about the growing food crisis in East Africa. They’ll each take to Twitter and Facebook pages today with the goal of raising awareness and funds for the nearly 10-million people facing starvation in Somalia and across East Africa.
· One-million children in Somalia alone face starvation if help is not delivered now. Save the Children and other aid agencies have launched a huge emergency response across the region and are on the ground delivering life-saving aid.
