According to Rolling Stone, Kanye West recently visited Lil Wayne in New
York’s Rikers Island and actually performed his entire upcoming album.
Weezy’s manager, Cortez Bryant, revealed that “during West’s visit, he gave
Wayne a private concert.” Bryant also shared that Wayne usually “has so many
guests he tells me to come back another day,” however, along with ‘Ye,
“Drake, Diddy, and Nicki Minaj are among those who’ve gotten past the

Not only does the new single include his sons, but the West Coast general also said fans will be doing themselves a disservice if they don’t go out and purchase the effort, which is in stores right now.


Yesterday, we reported Paul Wall lost his cool while performing at the Low
Low Car Show in San Antonio. The Houston native has issued an open apology
for punching an unnamed fan with his microphone. reports Paul
stated, “My goal as a live performer is to always provide my fans with a
great show experience and I apologize for temporarily taking my eyes off
that goal. We all learn from experiences both good and bad.” He promised to
“learn and grow from this incident and be a better person, artist and
performer as a result.” It’s unknown if charges will be filed against the

Beyonce just made people love her even more after she crashed and danced at
a block party in West Orange, New Jersey. What was she doing there? Well,
the diva was traveling with Jay-Z to visit his mom when Bey decided to dance
with the neighbors.


Today, believe it or not, T-Pain is (allegedly) turning 25 years old. The Auto Tune king recently told us that despite all of his success in the music industry he always remains humble, especially in public places. The entertainer has reportedly completed and mastered his long-awaited rEVOLVEr album, but the project has yet to be given a launch


The Zac Brown Band debuts at number one on the Billboard 200 chart as You
Get What You Give sold over 153-thousand copies, according to Nielsen
SoundScan.  Maroon 5’s Hands All Over comes in a close second, selling over
142-thousand copies. The band’s last album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Too
Long, bowed at number one in 2007 selling over 429-thousand copies.  Last
week’s chart-topper, Linkin Park’s A thousand Suns, falls to number three,
while last week’s runner-up, Trey Songz’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure, drops to
number seven.  Selena Gomez & the Scene’s A Year Without Rain bows at number
four, while Santana’s new collaboration album, Guitar Heaven, debuts at
number five.  Eminem’s Recovery notches a 14th straight week in the top ten
and slides three spots to number six and Justin Bieber holds at number ten
with My World 2.0.


Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” returns to the top of the Digital Songs
chart, selling over 188-thousand copies.  Far East Movement’s “Like a G6”
flies three spots to number two with over 180-thousand copies.   Meanwhile,
last week’s number one, Rihanna’s “Only Girl in the World,” falls to number
three with over 161-thousand downloads.  The Glee cast’s take on Jay-Z and
Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” bows at number ten with over
106-thousand downloads.


Ciara has just leaked the video for her new single “Speechless.” The clip includes great beauty shots of the singer as well as a new verse from Ci Ci in the song. Fans might recall the record, which featured The Dream, leaking
earlier in the year, but it looks like Radio Killa has been removed. The cut is the newest offering from her Basic Instinct album, which will arrive in November.


Ciara and her BFF Lala recently posted a video to support the “It Gets
Better” project. The clip is just one of many that was designed by columnist
Dan Savage to encourage to LGBT youths struggling with discrimination. Perez
Hilton reports more supportive videos from celebrities will surface in the
coming weeks to raise awareness.

A new song called “Can’t Stay Away” from Faith Evans’ comeback album has
surfaced online. The track includes guest vocals from Keyshia Cole and
samples the late Notorious B.I.G.’s classic “Hypnotize.” The cut is off
Faye’s upcoming album, Something About Faith, which lands online and in
stores next Tuesday.

Rihanna’s Loud might not be out until November 16th, but her patient fans
got a treat when the singer revealed the upcoming album’s cover.  Rihanna
teased the cover art online, tweeting a pic that featured a close-up of the
left side of her face. The singer continued teasing her fans by uploading
different parts of the image to her Facebook page.  Finally, about an hour
later, she posted the full image on her website.  It’s a close-up of

According to, El DeBarge has teamed up with Babyface to
contribute to his first album in 16 years. The legendary songwriter created
a song called “When I See You,” which is said to appear on the crooner’s
upcoming Second Chance LP. The disc also includes guest contributions from
50 Cent, Faith Evans, Fabolous and others. Be sure to look for Second Chance

This past Friday, Kanye West dropped a new track called “So Appalled,” which
features a verse from Jay-Z taking a swipe at former rapper MC Hammer. In
the song, Hova spits: “I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30 / cos unlike
Hammer / 30 million can’t hurt me.” Apparently, the reference rubbed Hammer
the wrong way as he is now preparing a diss track for the King of New York.
The “Can’t Touch This” legend recently tweeted, “The answer to Jay comes on
October 31st.” We doubt Sean is the least bit worried.


Just a few days after Kid Cudi pled guilty to “criminal possession of a controlled substance,” TMZ has learned the charge could get wiped off his record if he behaves. The rapper only received two days of community service
for the misdemeanor charge, but he’s likely to have the entire case dismissed if he avoids any further violations for the next six months. The emcee is due back in court sometime in March.

rapper when he got into an argument with an unnamed woman.


This Sunday, Ne-Yo will be appearing on A&E Private Sessions.  The pop star
will be performing his classic hits such as “Miss Independent” and “So

debuts, “One in a Million” and “Champagne Life.”  He’ll also chat with host
Lynn Hoffman, revealing some intimate details about his first time working

“Lost in the World” is the latest song from Kanye West’s upcoming album to leak, but it’s also the one that features indie darling Bon Iver. The song samples Bon Iver’s song “Woods” off his Blood Bank EP. West recently told
Rolling Stone that he and Bon Iver mastermind Justin Vernon have become good friends and worked together on his new album in Hawaii earlier this year.


Michael Jackson’s nephew, Austin Brown, is ready to carry on the family
business for the next generation.  The youngest son of Rebbie Jackson, Brown
teamed up with producer Rodney Jerkins and is set to release his debut
album, 85. The effort’s first single, “Target Practice,” debuted Monday on
Brown’s website.


The 2010 American Music Awards nominations will be announced on the morning
of October 12th.  For the fourth year, winners will be determined by online
voting at  The American Music Awards ceremony will take place at
L-A LIVE’s Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21st
and will air on ABC at 8 PM Eastern.  Dick Clark Productions will once again

Shakira debuted her music video for “Loca” featuring British rapper Dizzee Rascal.  The clip was shot on the streets of Barcelona, Spain and features the Colombian superstar on rollerblades, riding a motorcycle and shaking her
famous hips in a public fountain.  “Loca” is the first single off her Sale El Sol (The Sun Comes Out), which is due out on October 19th.


According to, Lil Wayne is looking to pull in impressive first
week sales despite being locked up in prison. The rapper’s newly released I
Am Not A Human Being EP is projected to sell over 90-thousand copies. The
set is only available digitally now but is estimated to move over
225-thousand units when it’s physically released in stores on October 25th.
The rapper may be serving time for weapons possession in New York’s Rikers
Island, but he can rest easy knowing fans still love and support him!

It looks like Kanye West has locked in a new release date for his upcoming
yet-to-be-titled fifth album. reports the “Power” rapper has
selected November 22nd to be the day that he drops his hotly-anticipated
project. The actual date falls in the same week as Black Friday, which is
the biggest shopping day of the year. West will go up against Nicki Minaj’s
Pink Friday, Ne-Yo’s Libra Scale, Akon’s Akonic, Lloyd Banks’ H.F.M. 2  and
Flo Rida’s The Only 1.


During an interview with, Nicki Minaj opens up about everything from
her musical influences to aspiring to out-sell male rappers. But more
importantly, she touches on her often-questioned sexuality and explains, “I
just don’t like that people want you to say what you are, who you are. I
just am. I do what the fuck I want to do.” The leading lady in Young Money,
who admits that her “Roman” alter-ego is a gay boy, also thanked her

According to, Buju Banton’s drug case has reportedly been
declared a mistrial by a Florida judge. The reggae artist’s lawyer has
requested that the entertainer be released on bail after being held without
bond since his December 10th arrest. After five days of jury deliberation,
jurors failed to deliver a verdict connecting Buju to allegedly conspiring
to buy and distribute cocaine to an undercover police officer.


According to, Nick Cannon has challenged Eminem to take their
feud to the boxing ring at the Joe Louis Arena, which is located in Em’s
home city of Detroit. On his New York radio show, the funnyman stated that
the fight would finally end the feud over his wife, Mariah Carey. Cannon
also tweeted. “I don’t have nothing to lose! If I get beat up no one would
be surprised… It will just be more material for my stand up!”

We’ve previously reported that Fantasia has decided to team up with Eric
Benet and Kandi Burruss for a fall tour. According to, the
outing will kick off in November 4th at Virginia’s Landmark Theater and end
on New Year’s Day at St. Louis’ Fox Theatre. The tour will help further
promote the American Idol’s Back to Me album, the crooner’s long-delayed
Lost In Time LP and former Xscape member’s upcoming Kandi Koated effort.

Chris Brown recently gave fans a sneak peek of the remix of his
chart-topping single, “Deuces,” during his Ustream session. The
revamped-record will now feature verses from Fabolous, T.I., Drake, Kanye
West and André 3000. You can expect the new version to premiere this Friday
and Breezy added, “We’re gonna shoot the video for that. The video’s gonna

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, President Barack Obama admits that his
personal aide has helped improved his “rap palate.” He added that “Jay-Z

now getting old enough to where they start hipping me to things.”


Yesterday, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees for 2011
induction.  Among the musicians in the running are Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi,
the Beastie Boys, Neil Diamond, the J. Geils Band, Tom Waits, Donovan, LL
Cool J and Donna Summer.  Now that the nominees have been selected, ballots
will be sent to the five-hundred rock hall voters, including previous
inductees.  Those voters will select who they think should be inducted and
the top vote getters will be announced in December.  Then, on March 14th in
New York City, this year’s crop will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall

initially meant to be on MJB’s next studio effort before Swizz Beatz passed

We previously reported Wyclef Jean was hospitalized for stress and fatigue
in a New Jersey hospital. A rep for the Fugees member said the musician will
remain there for part of the week; however his publicist announced that he’s
already returned home to “recuperate,” adding that he “will be back to work
in about a week, and until then the family requests that he be allowed to
genuinely rest.” The news comes after Jean was not permitted to run for
president of Haiti due to residency requirements.

grueling three months – truly an exhausting eight months, since the
earthquake when he recommitted himself to our homeland and his passion for
our people. He is currently suffering the effects of lack of sleep and

fans and supporters bear with him for the next several days as he regains
his physical health and stamina.”

Amy Winehouse has received some very kind words from a music legend.  In an
interview with Rolling Stone, producer Quincy Jones said that the embattled
singer-songwriter “has a great voice” and that she’s so much more talented
then almost anyone else, that it’s like “she’s from another planet.”
Winehouse and Mark Ronson teamed up to do a version of the song “It’s My
Party” on a tribute album for Jones.


Nicole Scherzinger will indeed be a judge when The X-Factor comes to
America.  According to, TV personality Piers Morgan has
confirmed that both the Pussycat Dolls lead singer and British pop star
Cheryl Cole will be joining Simon Cowell on the show.  Morgan joked that the
former American Idol judge “will love a couple of feisty brunettes fighting
over him.”


It’s a long way down the road, but Lady Gaga is already adding tour dates to

The Black Eyed Peas scored one of the biggest albums over the past two years
with The E.N.D. The record is still selling over eight-thousand copies a
week and has already sold over 2.7-million copies since its release back in
June 2009.  According to, the Peas are preparing their new album,
titled The Beginning, which will arrive in November.  That effort contains
12 tracks with four songs produced by DJ Ammo, three by and two by
David Guetta, who also produced their number one hit “I Gotta Feeling.”  The
Black Eyed Peas will resume their The E.N.D. World Tour in Mexico tomorrow
before heading to Brazil for eight shows.  The Beginning is due out on

North America college tour. The emcee, who recently opened for Jay-Z and

Just days after releasing his joint Wake Up! project with The Roots, John
Legend revealed to Billboard magazine that he’s already “started [recording]
the next solo album.” The crooner added that Kanye West will serve as the
co-executive producer for Legend’s upcoming fourth disc. In addition, John
spilled he’s “also worked on Kanye’s album a little bit, on the ‘POWER’
remix and other stuff. But God only knows what Kanye is actually going to
put on the album and what’s going to be on the other five-song album he’s
putting out.”

Ryan Leslie, Swizz Beatz, Jermih, Raekwon, Tony Yayo and Chris Brown. 50 added that he’s also on the project, promising fans that “HFM2 is gonna be crazy!” You will be able to grab the LP on November 23rd.


While promoting his album The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted, Gucci Mane
recently told us that he’s so proud of his artist, Waka Flocka Flame. Flame’s single, “No Hands” featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale, is currently the number 18 song on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart.  Gucci spoke about it. The Drumma Boy-produced cut is off Waka’s upcoming debut album, Flockaveli, which will be released on October 5th. In related

performance at LG Live’s 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix. The

Sisterella, Larry Hart’s version of Cinderella, is the only musical project ever financed, executive produced or presented by Michael Jackson that was not something he created.  The show played in L-A 14 years ago and now comes news that it will be back.  An updated version of the production will open in L-A in the spring of 2011.  No word on the cast or premiere dates yet, but we’ll keep you posted.


Madonna’s new fashion line, Material Girl, started as a fashion line for
juniors, but it seems that there are already talks about expanding the
brand.  According to, the CFO of Iconix Brand, the company
behind the line, said that they want Material Girl to branch out into
“additional categories,” including “swim and intimates,” as well as a “full
footwear collection.”


The time has come! Lil Wayne fans can finally purchase the rapper’s new EP,

LUPE FANS TO PROTEST FOR LASERS LP reports Lupe Fiasco fans are looking to organize a Fiasco Friday
protest if the rapper’s third album, Lasers, doesn’t get a release date. The
disc has been completed since 2009, but Atlantic Records are yet to give it
the green light. Lupe followers say if Lasers doesn’t get a launch date
before October 15th, then a protest will ensue. Interestingly enough, the
“Kick Push” emcee tweeted: “FiascoFriday huh?!?…well if y’all there…I

According to the New York Daily News, Jennifer Lopez is being slammed for
failing to donate money to her Bronx high school. The Holy Family School
principal, Claire La Tempa, stated, “Jennifer hasn’t even sent us a CD!”

single mothers. A lot have lost their jobs. It’s hard for families to make

According to MTV News, Drake and Rihanna have reportedly collaborated
together. Drizzy told MTV, “I just did this great song with Rihanna so I

Justin Bieber made his CSI debut on the season premiere of the CBS show last
night.  Bieber joins a handful of other artists who made guest appearances
on the show, including Taylor Swift, Diddy, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz.
Swift starred in the series back in March 2009 and that very same month saw
the CSI debut of Simpson and Wentz.  Diddy appeared as a defense attorney on
CSI: Miami back in December 2008.  Bieber played “Jason McCann,” a troubled
kid, in last night’s episode.  He will reprise the role in an episode airing
in February.


Just days after footage of Katy Perry singing a Sesame Street-version of her hit “Hot ‘n Cold” hit the Internet, Sesame Workshop, the organization behind the famed show, released a statement saying that the segment would not air
on the program later this year as originally planned due to complaints from some viewers who felt it was inappropriate.  In the clip, Perry is wearing a very-short tight-fitting dress, showing some cleavage.   She chases “Elmo” around Sesame Street singing a kid-friendly version of her song.

We previously reported Jay-Z was looking to release a series of books that
would describe the meaning behind some of his most controversial records.
Well it looks like Hov has completed the first volume, which is called
Decoded. The rapper’s first literary effort will hit bookstores on November
16th. In related news, fans can expect Jay to release a memoir and a
business book in the near future.

Are and Cheryl Cole getting ready to team-up again?  According to British paper the Daily Star, the rumored couple is planning on working on the British pop star’s next solo album.  The Black Eyed Peas’ member already
appeared on four tracks on Cole’s debut effort, 3 Words.  The new album, tentatively titled Messy Little Raindrops, is set to be released before the end of the year.


For the second consecutive year, Academy Award-nominated actors Terrence
Howard and Taraji P. Henson are expected to co-host the Soul Train Music
Awards. The upcoming ceremony will celebrate soul music’s hottest stars and

AVANT RETURNS WITH NEW MUSIC reports Avant has announced that his sixth studio album, The Letter, will hit stores this winter. After recently releasing the lead single, “Kiss Goodbye,” the R&B vet promises that “the album is a letter

Could Lady Gaga become President of the United States?  According to British
paper the Daily Star, a professional handicapper in England has set the odds

An ex-firefighter was arrested for the second time in four days for stalking
Madonna.  According to the New York Post, Robert Linhart was picked up
outside of Madonna’s Upper West Side apartment with a sign reading,
“Madonna, I need you” and asking her to make his dream “come true.”  He’s
been charged with criminal weapons possession because he had two knives on

becoming the Highest Earning Power Couple. Through touring and business

During an interview with Vibe, DJ Whoo Kid recently spilled on 50 Cent

According to Billboard, the Michael Jackson estate has entered a licensing
deal with a Los Angeles company that will create an online virtual world
based on the King of Pop called Planet Michael.  The multi-player online
game will contain about 100-thosuand active users who will be able to
collect and trade virtual Jackson merchandise and earn credits by performing
challenges related to his music and dance moves.  The estate will work with
game publisher SEE Virtual Worlds to develop the game for release in late
2011. As in other virtual worlds, players can replenish their game accounts

ACTOR FOUND GUILTY! 40-Year-Old Virgin actor Shelly Malil has been found guilty of stabbing his girlfriend over 20 times. Late last week, a jury in San Diego convicted the 45-year-old actor, who had previously testified that he stabbed his significant other over 20 times in self-defense. RUSSELL BRAND ARRESTED. TMZ reports that Russell Brand was arrested Friday for allegedly attacking paparazzi at the Los Angeles International Airport. Brand was reportedly going through security with Katy Perry and began pushing and shoving the paparazzi. According to the site, LAX police arrested Brand for battery.

LINDSAY LOHAN FAILS DRUG TEST After being released from jail early, only serving 13 days of her 90-day sentence and spending 23 days in rehab, Lindsay Lohan reportedly failed a court-mandated drug test. According to TMZ, Lohan tested positive for cocaine last week and could be headed back to jail. The troubled star was ordered to submit to random twice-weekly drug and alcohol tests. In addition to attending a 12-step program, she also participates in at least four psychotherapy sessions and attends behavior therapy sessions twice a week. If she fails a drug test, she is required to return to jail for 30 days.

RELATED – Lindsay Lohan announced on her Twitter page Saturday “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.”

LINDSAY LOHAN’S BAIL REVOKED! A judge has revoked Lindsay Lohan’s probation and has issued a bench warrant for her arrest if she does not appear at her court date, scheduled for this Friday at 8:30 AM Pacific. The Town was the number one movie at the box office over the weekend, bringing in 23.8-million bucks. The crime thriller stars Ben Affleck and The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner, who told us about his character “Jem.”

“He’s a wild card for sure, but a loose cannon…you know, I guess there’s an accountability to everything he does, you know?”

Renner told us how it was working with Affleck, who’s not only the lead in the film, but he directed the movie as well.

“I feel like I’m working with one my best friends and we’ve just got a camera and we’re shooting a little short film on the weekend. He sets an amazing tone for the set and he makes everybody feel comfortable.”

The Town also stars Jon Hamm, Chris Cooper and Blake Lively. It’s in theaters now.


We’ve just learned Kanye West is expected to be a musical guest during an
upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. The rapper, who previously wrote in
a song that SNL can kiss his ass, will make his fourth appearance on the
show on October 2nd – which will be the second episode of the new season.



After a two year relationship, Amber Rose and Kanye West called it quits so
the rapper could begin focusing on his new project. Since the break-up, West
has been spotted in public with former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and
model Selita Ebanks, while his ex has been romantically linked to New
Orleans Saints player Reggie Bush and Fabolous. reports
it’s unknown if the former couple will ever get back together but they still
talk and they remain good friends.


Lady Gaga and Katy Perry each scored five nominations for the MTV Europe
Music Awards.  The ladies will go head-to-head in four categories: Best Pop
Act, Best Song, Best Female Act and Best Video. Gaga is also up for Best
Live Act, while Perry, who hosted the show last year, is up Best World Stage
performance for her fifth nomination. Eminem follows right behind the ladies
with four nominations: Best Song, Best Male Act, Best Hip Hop and Best Video
for his Rihanna collaboration “Love the Way You Lie.”  Justin Bieber, who
won the Best New Artist Moon Man at the VMAs last week, will compete against
Ke$ha, B.o.B., Jason Derulo and Plan B for Best New Act.   Katy Perry and
Linkin Park will perform at the show, which takes place on November 7th in
Madrid, Spain.

Things are not looking good for Jamaican dancehall artist Bounty Killer. reports a badly bruised woman accused the star of assault,
after she claims she was physically attacked this past weekend at the
entertainer’s home in St. Andrew, Jamaica. In addition to the alleged
incident, the reggae star is currently facing charges for possession of fire

Busta Rhymes is facing a 250-thousand dollar lawsuit for allegedly causing
an altercation at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. reports a woman named Devin Cooper claims the rapper threw a drinking glass at her for sitting too close to his table inside the restaurant. In the suit, Cooper stated that she was “shocked and afraid for her safety.” Busta is reportedly being sued for assault and battery. No further information is known at this time.


Lady Gaga’s meat-dress has been discussed plenty, ever since she wore it to
the MTV Video Music Awards, angering many people including Ellen DeGeneres
and PETA.  And at a recent concert in Philadelphia, the pop star decided to
speak about the issue, although in a joking manner.  Gaga said that next
time she’ll “wear a tofu dress,” but that means that the “soybean police
will come after” her.



According to Billboard, yesterday, Lady Gaga attended a rally in Maine
against the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.  She joined a

Gaga stood alongside veterans discharged because of the policy, which forbids military recruiters from asking about people’s sexual orientations and prohibits service members from revealing if they’re gay.  Gaga recently called on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to repeal the policy during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
